Dear colleagues!

We are pleased to invite you to the VIII Russian Congress on Medical Microbiology, Clinical Mycology and Immunology (XXVII Kashkins’s Readings).

The Congress is included to the Plan of Scientific Events of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (the Order of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation dated 29.12.2023 №726, item №62).

Dates: June 5-7, 2024

Access: in person.

Venue: Saint Petersburg, 5/2, Pirogovskaya Embankment, hotel «Saint Petersburg».

Documentation of educational activities will be submitted to the Commission on the Evaluation of Training Activities and Materials for continuing medical and pharmaceutical education (CME).

  1. Issues of training a specialist in the field of medical microbiology at the present stage (residency, professional retraining, accreditation)
  2. Priority pathogens of fungal and bacterial infections (WHO Recommendations).
  3. Mechanisms of formation and spread of resistance of bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa to antimicrobial drugs. Multidrug and extensively drug-resistance.
  4. Medical mycology 2024: mycoses, fungal allergy and mycotoxicoses
  5. Microbiological and epidemiological aspects of healthcare-associated infections.
  6. Promising directions for the development of microbiological diagnostics of infectious and parasitic diseases.
  7. Current issues of organizational and methodological support for the activities of the microbiological laboratory.
  8. The role of bacteriophages in the prophylaxis and treatment of infectious diseases in modern conditions.
  9. Microbiological problems in disinfectology.
  10. Successes and new solutions in the field of dermatology and venereology.
  11. Problems of diagnosis and treatment of bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic diseases of the skin and mucous membranes.
  12. Innovative methods of immunodiagnostics, immunoprophylaxis and immunotherapy of infectious diseases.
  13. New means of etiotropic therapy of bacterial, fungal and viral infections.
  14. Omics technologies, BigData, artificial intelligence: prospects for application in medical microbiology and epidemiology.
  15. Climate change and the world of microbes.
  16. Issues of implementing the results of scientific research in the field of microbiology in the interests of medicine and healthcare.

  • Russian-Kazakh Symposium “Current issues in medical microbiology” and round table “Invasive mycoses in the practical work of pulmonologist”.
  • Meeting of the Federal Teaching Methodological Association (FTMA) «Health Sciences and Preventive Medicine»; section on medical microbiology.
  • Expert meeting of the Head specialist for clinical microbiology and antimicrobial resistance of North-Western Federal Region of the Russian Federation.
